About PostFinder

PostFinder answers one question: where do I take this parcel, and will the place be open when I get there. It lists post offices, parcel lockers, courier drop-off and collection points and street posting boxes, with opening hours, addresses and a map, across Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States and New Zealand.

Why it exists

Every carrier publishes its own locations and none of them publish each other's. If you have a parcel in your hand you do not care whose network a shop belongs to, you care which one is nearest and open. So this site puts them on the same page, tells you which errand each place is for, and says when it does not know something rather than guessing.

How the data is made

Locations come from OpenStreetMap, from carriers' own published location feeds, and from national gazetteers: GeoNames for suburbs and postcodes, and G-NAF for Australian street addresses. Every source is named on the sources page with the licence it carries, because attribution is a condition of using most of them and not a courtesy.

Nothing here is written by hand and nothing is invented. Where a source has no opening hours, the page says so rather than filling the gap. Where two sources disagree about an address, the operator's own wins. That is why a page will sometimes tell you less than you hoped: the alternative is telling you something confidently wrong and sending you to a shut door.

Something wrong on a page?

Tell us. A closed branch still listed, an address on the wrong street, hours that changed: these are the failures that matter most, because somebody acts on them. Most of the underlying data is OpenStreetMap, so a correction there fixes it for everyone rather than only here, but write to us either way and we will take a listing down while it is being sorted out.
