Terms of service

PostFinder is a free directory of post offices, parcel lockers, courier drop-off and collection points and street posting boxes. It gathers information published by others and arranges it so you can find the nearest one and see when it opens.

It is not a postal or courier service, it is not affiliated with any of the operators named on it, and it cannot accept, hold, forward or track anything. Where a carrier's name or mark appears, it is to identify whose location you are looking at and nothing more.

This is the part worth reading. Opening hours change, branches close, boxes are removed and collection times are altered, often without any announcement that reaches a public dataset. Some of what you see here was contributed by volunteers and some of it is months old. We publish what our sources say and mark what we do not know rather than guessing, but we cannot tell you that any particular entry is correct today.

So: if the trip matters, telephone first. Do not rely on this site for anything with a deadline you cannot miss, and treat what it tells you as a good starting point rather than a promise.

The site is provided as it is and as it happens to be available. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind about it, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, currency, or uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We do not warrant that any location listed exists, is open, accepts any particular service, or is where we say it is.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising out of your use of the site or your reliance on anything it says. That includes indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, and it includes lost profits, lost data, wasted expenditure, a missed deadline, a missed delivery and a wasted journey, whether or not we were told such loss was possible.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of resupplying the service and one hundred Australian dollars. The site is free, and that figure is not a coincidence: it is the measure of what is fair to carry for something given away.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement. Those rights stand regardless of anything written above, and where a term of this agreement conflicts with them, they win and the term does not apply.

Two separate things, and it matters which is which.

The site is ours: its words, its design, its layout, its code, and the work of arranging other people's data into pages you can actually use — deciding what a page shows, how a location is categorised, which suburb it belongs to and how its hours are read. © 2026 PostFinder. You may not copy the site wholesale, present it as your own, or rebuild a competing directory by scraping its pages.

The underlying data is not ours and we do not claim it. It is licensed from OpenStreetMap, GeoNames, Geoscape and others, and those licences travel with it: take the data from here and you take their conditions too, including the obligation to credit them. Our work of presenting it creates no rights over the data itself, and nothing on this page should be read as trying to. The sources page names every source and the licence it carries.

Carrier names, logos and trade marks belong to the companies that own them and are used here only to identify their locations.

You may say how a place was and add photos of it. Send only what is true and what you saw yourself: no advertising, no links, nothing abusive and nothing about a person rather than a place. Please leave faces and number plates out of photos.

A fix you suggest is checked the same way, and may be changed before it is applied. A place you add is checked too, and named by the person who approves it. What it corrects becomes part of the directory and is published under these terms.

A person checks everything before it appears, and we may decline or remove anything at any time without giving a reason. A review or photo appearing here is not us agreeing with it.

A photo must be one you took. You keep the copyright, and by sending it you license it to everyone under CC BY 4.0, credited to your handle or to a PostFinder contributor. That licence cannot be withdrawn for copies already made, though we will take a photo off this site if you ask.

There are limits on automated access and on what you may do with what you find. They are set out in the acceptable use policy, which forms part of these terms.

Pages here link to carriers, to mapping services and to source datasets. Those sites are not ours, we do not control them and we are not responsible for what they contain or do.

The site changes constantly and parts of it may be altered, moved or withdrawn without notice. These terms may change too; the date at the top says when they last did, and continuing to use the site after that is acceptance of the current version.

We may withdraw access from anyone who breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy, without notice where the breach is causing harm.

These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest carries on without it.
